  7. Enjoyed the games today. Stayed to the end to listen and cheer for the awards earned.
What a disappointment that those that recived Honorable Mention became unmentionable because "they weren't there anyway". Disgraceful and unhonorable to not even run down the list of those that recieved the honor.
Congratulations to Bellevue for their victory and to all those that comnpeted.

  10. My son received an honorable mention. He deserved to be on one of the all state teams, but since he didn't finish in one of the top 3 teams he didn't get that recognition. Don't you think it should be based on stats and skill, and not on team stats. Anyway, he is a senior and wanted to celebrate with his team, not sit all night at the pool. That is not disgraceful.

    1. My intent was for the the official at the tournament to at least read down the list of those that made Honorable Mention and who they played for, not that the players needed to stick around. They said they were not going to list the Honorable Mentions, because "they aren't here anyway". That was what I was refering to, the Honorable Mentions became unmentionable.

  11. I agree. All State is an individual honor not a team honor and should be based on the players performance not whether the team made it to a certain position in the tournament. There's a lot of good kids that could be all state but won't because only 4 teams can make it to the top 4. Doesn't make sense to me. But there's a lot about this League that doesn't make sense.

  12. I have been a part of this league for 8 years with two kids and our coach has always said that there was heavy favoritism shown towards certain teams and it has gotten worse over the years. Its a shame the league cant work together and not just certain people. Especially since many schools hardly recognize the sport!!

  13. My team got fifth last year and I was able to make it on the All-State team......

  14. I think any kid who can water polo in a State that doesn't recognize it as a sport is an "All Star" to me.
